    • Mr.Children won an award for Best Album of the year at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards Japan. The group did not attend the awards show to accept it.


  • Mr.Children 3rd best selling artist of 2009 so far

    • Oricon has reported that Mr.Children are the 3rd best selling artist of 2009 so far for the year, with the group bringing in 4.18 billion yen thus far. Outdoing Mr.Children was boy band group, Arashi, at number two with 4.43 billion yen in total sales, and other boy band group EXILE at number one, with 5.48 billion yen in sales.
