Theme song to Japanese movie 'Koizora'

The single reached #1 on the Oricon charts selling 395,016 copies during its run on the chart. The title track, "Tabidachi no uta", was used to promote the Japanese movie Koizora (恋空) and was being written prior to the tie-in with the movie and after the production for the HOME album was finished. When reading the script to the song, Sakurai was astonished at the various similarities the song and the movie had in common.(1) The single went on to win 'The Best 10 Singles' award at the 22nd Annual Japan Gold Disc Awards.(2)
